WST SHOW 1st edition

In September 2013, the first edition of the Sports Tourism Fair was held in Latina for a period of three days. The inauguration of the fair took place on 27 September with Luca Pancalli, president of the Paralympic Italian Committee, Giacomo Crosa, former Italian national and Mediaset commentator, world medals of various sports and civil and religious authorities.

The Fair has met with considerable success in terms of public and interest. It has allowed more than 130 stands set up to close contracts for hundreds of thousands of euros, to enroll hundreds of people in their courses and / or their associations, to make collaborative agreements with each other and to be known by the general public.

The impression of "insiders" is that of a less general public and more of the sector.

From September 27 to 29, in the inner rooms, numerous events were held, including three major conferences:

"The will is superior to the ability" with speakers Luca Pancalli, Giacomo Crosa, Paolo Marini (president of Confindustria Latina), Gianni Biondi (delegate of Coni) and Silvio D'Arco (Councilor for sport province of Latina).

"The pontine ways of water and land on the tops of the world" with speakers the regional councilor Rosa Giancola, the Pomos, Gianluca di Cocco (Councilor for Tourism of the municipality of Latina), Daniele Nardi, the president of Italian bridleways, associations of the territory such as Latina Tomorrow, Latina by Bike, Argini Committee.

"Sport tourism for the young" by the Vitattiva association with the participation of over 150 "youngsters" coming from all over the region.

The event was organized by Confindustria Latina through Twis Srl, whose founder, thanks to the success of this edition, was included as a speaker at the 1st World Sport Tourism Conference - Idroscalo Milano which saw, as speakers, ministers and professors from all world as well as important personalities from the world of sport and tourism.

Il successo dell’edizione 2013 è testimoniato da alcuni numeri importanti e dalla capillarità sul territorio nazionale italiano:

• 150 espositori
• 500 room nights negli alberghi convenzionati
• 6500 pasti serviti nell’area fieristica
• 18000 visitatori
• Interesse dei media di settore, di 3 emittenti televisive e di diversi quotidiani. Uno speciale su Sport Mediaset ed una rassegna stampa che vanta nomi quali: Itinerari nel mondo – L’Indipendente – Millennium Motori – Fiavet Lazio – Italia Accessibile – Sport Mondo – Sport Business Management – Il Giornale del Turismo – Lazio Travel Nostop – Roma Daily News – Di Dove – Benessere.info – Informazione.it – Scoop.it – News it 24 –Il Faro online – Online news – Prima Pagina Italiana – Telegolfo – Prisma news – Allevents
• 150000 volantini, 4 camion vela, 800 locandine, 800 manifesti, 35.000 inviti sui social network, 2 pagine di pubblicità a pagina intera su Repubblica
• Gli eventi collaterali hanno richiamato ulteriore pubblico: il concerto di musica classica argentina a cura del duo di chitarre dei fratelli Cardozo, la presentazione e premiazione della Lega Navale di Latina, la presentazione della casa editrice Trevisini di Lecco a cura degli autori del libro “l’arte di risalire”, la presentazione del libro “Vedere di Corsa” a cura dell’autore Marco Frattini di Milano, l’esibizione di aeromodellismo acrobatico a cura dell’assoc. “Gruppo Volo la Fenice”,     la scuola di Guida Sicura a cura di Guida un Mito, Test delle e-bike a cura della Scott, l’esposizione delle moto che hanno fatto la storia della superbike, la partecipazione della Polizia Stradale e delle sue apparecchiature per la sicurezza ed il controllo, la partecipazione di Moto For Peace.
• Conferenza stampa con Giacomo Crosa cronista Mediaset, Alessio Sartori Olimpionico Canottaggio e Daniele Nardi scalatore di vette mondiali
• Un concerto finale tributo a “The Wall” dei Pink Floyd a Berlino, grazie ad una famosa cover e  con Il coro e le coreografie del concerto di Roger Waters di Roma: The Wall, perché per chi vive una disabilità, anche un piccolo ostacolo può diventare un muro insormontabili.
